Common questions

The filter isn't showing on a page.

Refresh the page. Tabs that were open before you installed the extension need a refresh. Also check that Filter on is checked, and if Only on a schedule is checked, that the current time is inside your schedule.

It doesn't work on the New Tab page or Chrome settings.

Chrome doesn't let any extension run on its own pages (like the New Tab page, chrome:// pages, and the Chrome Web Store). This is a Chrome safety rule, not a bug.

Can it tint my whole screen, not just Chrome?

No. Chrome extensions can only change web pages. For your whole screen, use the setting built into your computer: Night Shift on Mac (System Settings → Displays) or Night light on Windows (Settings → System → Display).

How does the schedule work?

Check Only on a schedule and pick a start and end time. The filter turns on and off by itself, and it works overnight (for example 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM). It checks the time once a minute.

The colors look too strong or too weak.

Use the Strength slider. Around 30–50% works well for most people. Red blocks the most blue light, and Yellow is the most gentle.

Does it work on videos?

Yes, on videos inside a page. Videos in full-screen mode may not be tinted.

Does it collect my data?

No. See the privacy policy.
